6 Habits of Successful Farrell’s Members!

You’ve heard the saying “you get what you give.” Being successful means giving it your all, regardless of what you’re working towards. At Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping, we call it living Life at Level 10®!

Here are six traits that our successful members follow to assure they are reaching their fitness goals:

1. They Attend Every Class.
Successful members make it a point to attend every class. This is key as it establishes their workouts as an important part of their daily routine, not an afterthought, making it harder to find excuses not to attend.

2. They Follow Our Nutrition Program.
Some say this is the hardest part of our program, but it is the most important. Members who don’t eat right to fuel their bodies are just cancelling out their Level 10 workout in the gym. Following the nutrition program enhances energy levels and makes our workouts that much more effective at burning fat rather than storing it. Successful members understand this and continue to follow the nutrition program, even keeping food logs after their 10-week sessions.

3. They Seek Help.
Successful members ask their coaches, instructors or managers questions. If they don’t feel like they are improving, they ask for help to identify why they may not be seeing what they expect. If they can’t participate in a certain exercise because of a situation, they ask if there is a modified exercise they can do so they are still participating and working hard.

4. They Set Realistic Expectations.
Nothing good happens overnight (except for winning the lottery). Members that see the best results know it’s something they have to work towards and set realistic and achievable goals they can meet. These goals are usually small and simple, but add up to big results over time!

5. They Don’t Compare to Others.
This can be difficult since we naturally tend to compare ourselves to others around us. Successful members do their best to focus on themselves and what they can do better. Everyone’s life and fitness goals are different; so don’t compare your goals to someone else’s. It’s not apples to apples.

6. They Stay Positive.
There’s no bigger roadblock to success than negativity. It’s important to stay positive. Successful members don’t let a bad day get in their way. Maybe they got a little carried away at the company picnic dessert table, but they understand the importance of getting back on track the next day. They don’t dwell on it or make an excuse for why they did it. They move on.
