Better All Around Because of Farrell's!

Jeremiah and Family Before Farrell'sI started my weight-loss journey in October of 2012. I was working an office job and had let my health and eating habits get way out of hand. At my heaviest I was 430 lbs. One day at work the left side of my face went numb and I began slurring my speech and having blurred vision. I went to the hospital and was informed that I had a mild stroke. At 30 years old with two kids this is not something that is supposed to happen. I threw away all the junk food and soda in my house, swore off fast food and joined a gym. I lost the first 140 pounds with walking, aquatic exercises and dieting. I had plateaued and knew I needed to do something extreme to reach my goal, so I joined Farrell’s. Since beginning my weight-loss journey, I have lost a total of 235 lbs.*

The physical changes I see everyday, when I look in the mirror and don’t recognize myself right away. I don’t get sick as often as I used to and I have way more energy. The mental changes are even more significant. I can’t even describe the confidence and self-esteem I have gained.

All facets of my life are better since joining Farrell’s. I have better relationships with people, better performance at work, a better home life and I constantly amaze myself by doing things I thought I never could. The “team” aspect of Farrell’s and the accountability the coaches hold you to helps you to believe in yourself, which I never found at other gyms.

Getting my father-in-law and wife to follow in my footsteps and watching them both win the 10-Week Challenge as well was awesome. Every time I finish a class with a puddle bigger than anyone else or looking around the class and knowing that my bands are higher colors reminds of what I have done and what I still have to do.

Farrell’s helped me realize the difference between living and being alive.

My advice for other members is to always make time to take care of yourself. Look at class schedules even at other locations and work it into your day. Put out more than you take in and if you’re not dead, fainting or puking, keep going.
