Abby O’Reilly and Leslie Egan both began their Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping journeys in 2014. They’ve both held about every position possible at their Farrell’s locations, from 10-week member, to coach, to instructor and even manager, but now they are taking on a new role at Farrell’s Stillwater as owners! These two fitness-minded people, who grew their friendship at Farrell’s, are now excited to give back to the community and people that have given them so much!
As Abby and Leslie state, “The community that has been built at Stillwater FXB is remarkable, and we plan to enhance that community and each students’ experience even more with the culture of Farrell’s. We feel very fortunate to have this opportunity and we intend to make the most of it so we can help change the lives of everyone who walks through our doors.”
I began Farrell’s in April of 2014 at the Andover location. I had just graduated from high school, and was looking for a workout that was high tempo and would constantly keep me on my toes. That’s when my cousin convinced me to try Farrell’s! It was exactly what I was looking for in an exercise program, but it brought me so much more! I began instructing right after my 10-Week Challenge. About a year later, Cindi Nikituk and Kerrie Robbins purchased the Andover location and then offered me a management position. I was thrilled about my new job! I was actually studying to be an elementary school teacher, so I originally planned for this job to be temporary. My plans eventually changed from pursuing a degree in Elementary Education to becoming an FXB gym owner. I never thought taking a position as gym manager would turn into ownership, but I was inspired by what I saw from Cindi and Kerrie and my love for the program and those in it grew more and more each day! I knew helping people change their lives was what I was destined to do. I feel very fortunate to have such a big opportunity in front of me and am determined to impact as many lives as I can as a Farrell’s owner!
I joined Farrell’s in 2014 and loved how the program focused on cardio, strength, nutrition, and a high level of accountability. I never would have imagined myself instructing a fitness class, but six months later, there I was instructing my first strength training class! I instantly loved it and wanted to continue to help others reach their health and fitness goals. An unexpected layoff left me with extra time on my hands in February 2015, so I offered to instruct more classes, started instructing kickboxing, and covered a few front desk manager shifts while I figured out what was next for me. It didn’t take me long to realize that I loved doing this way too much and I accepted a Head Coach/Location Manager role. It became clear that “this” was what was next, and now here we are as Franchise Owners!
We’re excited to see them take on this new challenge and can’t wait to see the continued growth and culture at Farrell’s Stillwater. Congratulations, Abby and Leslie!
